    Registry Editing

I have a Windows 7, 64 bit computer. A certain windows modification says " create a Dword etc. in Regedit. I know there are two editors in Win 7, the regular Regedit-64 bit editor and the subset-WOW 6432Node editor. Can I create the dword in regedit-64 bit editor or must I switch to the WOW 32 bit editor? Dword is a 32 bit mechanism. I also heard of Qwords for 64 bit Win 7. Maybe the 64 bit editor can translate the Dword to 32 bits in the WOW area? I do not know and ignorance of the registry usage can be fatal! Please advise.

    Registry editing

A regisrty hack to disable Aero Shake: create a new 32-bit DWORD with the following settings:
    • Name: NoWindowMinimizingShortcuts
    • Value: 1

Can I use the the regular Regedit for 64 bits or must I use WOW6432Node version?
Will Win 7 Regedit, in 64 bit mode, accept the Dword and function; perhaps it converts it to the 32 bit key automatically? I don't like experimenting with the registry and someone may have experience to give me the answer.
