Start Menu Issues in 7048 64-Bit

For some reason or another, anytime I open start menu, then click "All Programs", there is a pause for sometimes one minute before it even shows my apps, and it also creates other things to hang until it appears.
Anyone got any ideas? Ive had this installed before without the issue

Hello PotatoMan, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if it is the Visual Effect settings. Uncheck the Animations in the taskbar and Start Menu option to see if that helps. You might also see if this tutorial can help as well.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Crud..

Yeah i had tried the menushowdelay, and that was a no go..I just disabled the animations in start menu but still nothing. Its odd because it can be 5 seconds, 30 seconds, or even longer..anything I try to do while its well, doing whatever it is, will not go or will completely unallow me to access anything during that time.

In that case, you might do a repair install to fix it instead.

Will that affect any installed apps, drivers put in, or edits to preferences made? (services, startup, etc.)?

The yellow TIP box at the top of the tutorial, at that link, outlines what may be affected to help you out on this.
