    No problem, glad it worked out for you.

    You can always manually update the driver later on but for now ReadyBoost works, don't try and fix it.

    Readyboost may work, but it may not buy you anything - it may actually slow down your system. Do you see a performance improvement or did you make any comparitive measurements?

Hello all, Have a question regarding Readyboost. I have a my book essential 1TB and a 186 gb MTD external HD. Both say divice cannot be used for Readyboost. But my 4gb scan disk camera card allows the use of Readyboost. Just wondering why it wont let me use the other harddrives.

My laptop is an Acer 5738Z with Windows 7 Home Premium.It has 3 GB Ram.If I put in a USB stick and used it for Readyboost,how much benefit would I get?What I am trying to get to is if I used a 4GB USB stick for Readyboost,would this give as much benefit as upgrading my Ram by 4 GB.?
