Windows 7: What's your memory assessment speed?

31 Dec 2009   #471

Na, DDR2/3 @533 (x2) = 1066
however, I always thought 1066 is still a DDR2 speed but learned DDR3 starts @800 - never mind!

btw, nothing to do with dual channel

Well.... Seeing the average DDR2 speeds here, I don't think my RAM speed is that bad. Strange that my WEI score shows my RAM so low though (5.5), but that should change when I get my extra 2x 1GB slots next month....

Ouch!

I'm probably the slowest around, my score oscillates between 4700 and 4900 MB/s.
I know memory has improved drastically for the past 3 years, but still, this seems way too slow, there's probably something I need to check in my BIOS.

Guys, you shouldn't attach (ridiculously small) pictures in this thread really, there's only one value to answer this thread.
How do I find out the make, model and specs of my memory chips? I don't see this information in System Information or in Device Manager.

There are quite a few ways you can check that, but the smallest program I know of that'll show that is CPU-Z.
