    It runs better when under load, not a bad thing

    Small fluctuations are normal, depending on what's going on in the background.
    Anti-virus may have decided to scan, etc.

    Alan, here's my result changing nothing, about 3 minutes apart. I don't think a few 100Mbs difference is of any concern. My motherboard was bad and my figures would wildly fluctuate 4000-6000Mbs.
