thats ok for 2gb ddr2 667, dont forget your 667 is really 333mhz (double data rate) eg: mine is 1800 which is 900mhz.

    i would call that acceptable.

Processor is doing a bit better now, the 97 MB/s was with Windows 7 Build 7000 x86. Now getting 107ish MB/s with Build 7057 x64. Not as big of a difference as I expected when going from a 32 bit OS to a 64 bit OS, but I won't turn down a ~10% gain.

No way am I top, but my but my machine gets me where I need to go and do what I need to do
That's all you need. Anything else is a bonus. :)

    Monkey see.... Thanks Jacee

(I crowed too soon about stability. After installing the CAT 9.3 drivers and a Razer Lachesis driver (via Windows Update!) I had 4 BSOD and one app crash with looping sound yesterday. Two system restores later, it seems to be 'behaving' again )

i got a feeling this rely on your net bandwidth more than its actual tests.

dang it Smarteyeball! u beated me lmao ur 3d video and disk marks only just overtook me! if only i had that slipstream/wind tunnel?!?

    RAM 19718 MB/sec
    CPU 59313 MIPS

im using firefox if that can contribute, had to download their plugin
i liked their 3d tests with the spinning cubes.

who ever said benching cant be fun?

can anyone tell me is this program they advertise, PC Pitstop Optimize2, actually work and is it safe for win7 x64? i have used reg cleaners before on vista x64 and i didnt realize it was not x64 friendly, corrupted a whole heap of registries (another fresh install).

now i know where Jacee got the scores from (i was starting to get worried on post #67) lol

lol, you beat me where it counts :) Who said 100mhz doesn't make a difference? Spinning Cubes FTW

However you do have a quad SLI....

I'm not familiar with the app, but I would stay clear of it. Generally it's better to make those sort of adjustments manually. More time involved, but you have more of an idea what gets broken if it does and more chance to fix it.

well i got bored and bumped it up to 4ghz, and dropped my ram to 1766 but kept the timings the same, this is the results: ps sit down before you view

yep higher mem score with same timings, lower mem speed and higher fsb.

Well that's a nice increase on your CPU assessment and I'm still jealous of those volts

Although it's not a huge drop in mhz, but a lower RAM mhz = higher ? Then again a higher FSB = quicker total overall bandwidth...

i cant be bothered getting the GTL's stable for 4ghz tho. maybe later this year. lol its more of a brag rights thing to sit it at 4ghz, it is only 170mhz away from my 3.83 stable setup so not much point. maybe 4.2ghz

i just thought the mem speed would have more of an affect than fsb settings on ram. guess we learn something new everyday. 83mhz increase on fsb, 34mhz decrease on ram= 100mb/s increase in winsat.

@ bloke... PC Pitstop Optimize2 hasn't been tested with Win 7. You don't need it anyway
