could be your fsb? like Smarteyeball was telling me on prev page, fsb has a big affect on everything, its like going from a dripping tap to a full open tap, i experimented with this today, results are quite interesting, i dropped my ram below factory specs, raised my timings to rediculouse high settings (that way i know my ram isnt causing any lockups) and i was scoring close winsat scores to when i had my ram optimized, so if i could manage to get a high fsb, low timings like i have now and high ram speed......i could blow something up here.lol

also depends what timings Darkassain could be using?

some ppl get really bizzare readings in winsat

    Core i7 920 o/c'd to 3.4ghz
    eVGA x58 SLI-3 board
    12GB DDR3-1600 (OCZ Platinum), 7-7-7-24
    3Ware 9690SA w/4xPatriot 32GB MLC SSD's in RAID 0
    2xWD Black 750GB in RAID 1
    3xAcer 22's
    2x9600GT's
    CM V8 HSF
    CM Stacker 830 case

I am actually thinking the memory can do better. I just built this system over last weekend and have not had a lot of time to push it. I had to get some real work done and was getting BSOD's early on so it's actually only running 9-9-9-24 timings right now, but is rated 7-7-7-24.

have you checked the ram voltage in the bios? my ddr3 is rated 8 8 8 24 at 1.9v but the bios didn't set it to 1.9v so i had to do it manually.
