    DVDLuvver, what card is your ATI exactly? If ATI doesn't have Vista drivers for it, try googling for them. Sometimes, "fans" build custom drivers for video cards and other devices manufacturers stop supporting.

    TorrentG, I'm not 100% on this, but I believe all your video card needs to do is support DirectX 9 in order to get Aero working. In reality, Aero is pretty low on resource requirements compared to what people are used to thinking of as 3D apps or high end graphics.

    Aero does need a WDDM driver though and that kills many older high powered video cards. Newer ones lack Pixel Shader 2.0 and still other lack obscure parts of the Microsoft spec like certain timers like i915 -- it has everything needed for Aero, even had a driver that worked in Vista beta but it was witdrawn by Intel citing some obscure timer was lacking so they couldn't produce a WHQL WDDM driver.
