I updated the firmware before I installed anything on the hard drive. I ran all the scans on both partitions and no errors were reported.

i would make one suggestion. please make it easier on the members helping you and refer to the ssd as an ssd. as you can see from some of the post including my previous post you were getting advice for a hard drive. there different ways to correct problems on a ssd versus a conventional hard drive. for example i do not know if it is recommended to have multiple partitions on a ssd, so i would not be able to help you in that area.

Ok I will make the distinction. I don't see why a ssd wouldn't support mutiple partitions. I performs the same function as a regular hard drive it just has no moving parts.

i did not say it would not. i just said i personally do not know if it will. i do not want to give bad advice. i have a ssd but i know very little about them. you would be better served by other members. i do wish you luck in resolving your problem.

I wasn't implying that you said it wouldn't work. Sometimes it is hard to judge tone of statement by just reading it. No offense intended

Windows 7 works great unless I try to do something other than use my web browser. I tried to download something this morning and I get an error message saying it couldn't be saved because an unknown error occurred.
I checked event viewer and it said over 2700 errors had occurred in the last hour. I think I wasted my money on this one.
