Windows 7: 10 svchosts running???

10 svchosts running???

In XP, I have 4 svchost.exes running, and I thought that was excessive. I now see that win 7 runs 10 of them - 4 local, 4 system and 2 network.

Actually, looking in Task Manager, I seem to have some processes running doubles - crss.exe (Client Server), nvvsvc.exe (Nvidia). I'm showing processes from All Users, so I assume these are for me + the Default?

It's becoming more and more difficult to know what computers are up to these days.

Edit - Dammit! Just as I posted, I saw there's another related thread on this topic.

Too much Svchosts - Task Manager

Sorry about that. Is there a way to delete threads in these forums?

Found the the above service was running all the time and I only occasionally use SuperSpyware AntiSpyware as a standalone scan. This is solely as backup check to my Antimalwarebytes Pro. May I stop and disable it, and how would I remove it entirely? Thanks Glenn
