I was wondering if I could create a repair disc on my Desktop PC and use it on my laptop which has Windows Vista and install Windows 7 on the laptop using the repair cd. Just a fun fact that I thought would be cool to do. Well hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for your time.
If you mean you want to create a "System Image Disk" in Windows 7, that does indeed contain much more than just the recovery console.
But its purpose is to get you up and running after a catastrophic failure.
What you are, in effect, wanting to do is install a copy of Windows licensed to one computer on to a second computer. That's a clear violation of the license agreement, and is considered software theft in every United Nations member country!
So, while it may be a fun project to try, it might get you jail time, a hefty fine, and a felony criminal record too!
