    Thanks.

    However, next time I do this, I will DEFINITELY be using Marcium and Acronis to make backup images as well as Windows one. Thanks again for the recommendations! Funny thing, I bought 3 50GB Blu-ray disks = 3 different image programs! w00t!

    And, with *luck* Windows, when it formats and partitions the hard drives, it may may may on a tiny tiny chance align them correctly. If it doesn't.....LOL, that'll be another weekend.

    I would recommend to stay away from these blue ray disks. Get yourself a 500GB to 1TB external disk. Much better to manhandle than these blue rays. I have 6 external disks and use every one of them. And if you happen to have an eSata port, that would be optimal with a corresponding external drive. Even an 800 firewire would be faster than USB.

    Very glad you got it sorted out, and that your hard drive is OK!

    Happy surfing!

    That's true. I have an eSATA port, but I have a Western Digital 250GB drive (USB) laying around that I can use in the meantime.

    However, I noticed that the drive wasn't being recognized in the recovery environment. Maybe it needs some drivers? Haha, oh the irony.

    @iseeuu

    Thanks! I tried booting to the recovery partition via the hard drive, but it hung on "Windows is loading files". I DO have the option "Repair Your Computer", but the partition doesn't show up in Disk Management. Maybe it's just a placeholder??

    Don't really need that partition really, seeing as it can't restore images. And I have the system repair disk now, anyways....hmm...dare I try align the disks again?! lol....at least I know how to restore now. But I will make many more images, just in case this time.
