So I removed my GPU today as I have sold it, and I am now running onboard graphics. It was fast at rebooting before, but jeez is this thing flying now.
The only reason I re-tested it was because I noticed it was getting less far into the windows boot animation so I figured I would see how much faster it was. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Paulpicks Special Edition OS Windows 7 Professional 64 bit CPU i7 3770K @ 4.6ghz Motherboard Asus Z77 Sabertooth Memory 16GB G.Skill Trident X DDR3 2400Mhz 10-12-12-30 1t Graphics Card Sapphire Vapor-X HD7970 GHZ Edition Sound Card Xear 3d C Media PCI Monitor(s) Displays 27" Hanns-G HL272 LED Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Cyborg V5 Mouse Coolermaster Storm Inferno PSU Antec Truepower New 750 Case Antec 1100 Cooling Antec Kuhler 920 Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 4 128gb (OS), Crucial M4 64gb (Origin), Corsair F60 (Steam). Having owned both, I concur. The only reason I re-tested it was because I noticed it was getting less far into the windows boot animation so I figured I would see how much faster it was. 14 sec is too fast. You need to slow that down a bit.. lol. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 Home Premium x64 All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:05 PM. | |
