Is there a way to reduce the boot up time?
I have disabled all startup items and changed the number of processors at boot. my boot up time is 70 secs and i feel thats too high. How can i reduce it?

70 seconds is actually not bad. I am getting about 60 to the logon screen and another 10-25 secs to a fully usable desktop.

Reducing waittokill timeout value in registry from 12000 to 120 reduced my reboot time to 60 secs. That's amazing!

Mine is 144 seconds. I definitely have some sort of issue as my system is new, with good hard ware, and only 2 items in start up.
