Wow Gary that's the fastest time I've ever seen, well done!

Was that using the 2 second shut down from Shawn?

ReBoot Time-reboot.jpg

With full set of services
Non default OS in Dual Boot (have to manually select)
Strong Password on the account (have to type in with shift keys and stuff)
and my system spec

It'll do

PS. Just checked - it was 100 secs under Vista

Yes Mr GRiM, that's the only difference. Haven't stopped any services.

You're welcome Gary.

Here's mine. It has not been optimized yet.

lol, you should see my Vista time. It went from an untweaked 75 seconds to a 'tweaked' 120+ and I'm buggered if I know what's caused the extra delay

(Applying a whole list of changes rather than the one at a time method is not good )

Don't feel too down, BareFoot. Mine is still rock steady at 167 seconds. I have tried every customising trick in the book and it remains unchanged. I,m still getting 64 seconds on my Vista64 OS, on the same computer!

Hello Dave.

As this Windows 7 install is only "temporary" I'm not trying to shorten the reboot times; I don't think the 150/s or so I'm getting is that bad anyway.

Ok. I think I,ve got it. These times are being logged on a raw install - correct?
On a reinstall of 7, and then a reboot with Reboot vbs, I got 68 seconds. Still not competion for my Vista installation, but it has a year to go yet before final release. With Ms word 2007 installed, it drops back to 110 seconds and then, with my anti virus , to 165 seconds. So it has a long long road ahead, before it can compete with a customised Vista.
