Fellow geeks, please let me say this and I will promise to keep out from this thread. What I say here below is my personal opinion, nothing else.

This thread is beginning to look like a pointless competition. Some of the results are clearly only possible when almost all important services are disabled thus making Windows almost unable to function as it should. This of course gives misleading results: Windows reboots in a few seconds but to start services needed it to run after it has rebooted takes some extra time.

Here's a good example what I mean, "pimping" reboot speed only for speed's sake:

What? If you are not happy with a 30 second reboot time, reboot again and you might get 26 seconds? What is the point? Do you have a computer only to try to win a reboot race?

And this. I hope you get a lot of love and support from your family and friends in these difficult times. You've lost 2 seconds of your record time, everybody can relate to that, it is a catastrophe!

    My recommendations for this OP(*):
    - Search Google for every possible Tune Up and Speed Your PC app you can find, buy them all and tune your PC as much as possible
    - Delete everything possible
    - Shrink your system HD leaving only about 5 to 10 gigs free space
    - Remove every device except system HD, mouse, keyboard and display
    - Remove all registry entries you think are unnecessary

Now try again. If it's still a second from your record, disable all startup services and try again. Continue using the tuning apps to make that last effort, we all will then praise you when you get a new record!

    Very sincerely,

    Kari

(*) I trust you geeks understand my sarcasm. Of course I would never recommend something this stupid.

    - Remove every device except system HD, mouse, keyboard and display
    - Remove all registry entries you think are unnecessary]i do not do that .

no it as nothing to do with the performance of your pc .
to me it your reboot time is fast your computer is going to be fast on any thing you do with it .
i only have grade 6 1959 and never been on a pc before 2007 and 7 month later i build my first one .

Kari, of course this thread is a competition, it was started for that purpose, much the same as the 'Show Us Your WEI' thread is, or 'Show Us your Heaven Benchmark'. To some people, benchmarking is important. Not too much for me, but I do participate occasionally. And no, in the real world, it makes little difference what your reboot time is or how fast your graphics card is. But, just like many things in life, it makes some people happy and others find little interest in it.
