Mine is a long one, no doubt because I multi-boot.

    Hey Ex_Brit.

You win the prize; two seconds longer than mine.......Which isn't saying much!

I also have the BIOS set to display the boot sequence and to delay for 10 seconds at the display screen, I don't think it's bad considering I have to select which OS I'm using by hand.

I thought it was pretty fast. Way way faster than Vista.

I haven't disabled anything. Dual boot, but I hit the enter key right away (Windows seven is the default).

Here's Vista. W7 is 3 times faster here. I have a couple services disabled in Vista.

That is an incredibly long time you have for Vista, Gary. You must have quite a bit of gear loading in the startup sequence?

    Hi Dave,
Same machine for both. The only difference is I don't have all of my programs installed in
W7 yet. Can't imagine that an Office suite would slow it down much. Might though. I have noticed that when Vista is loaded I'm using about 35% of Ram and in W7 I'm only using 19%. Maybe prefetch isn't doing as much.
