Is that stock? Or with lots of software installed? Did you cleanup all your startup services and such? That is a LOT faster than mine, I am bummed... but I haven't cleaned mine up yet (been on vacation).

    I'm pretty happy...

Windows 7, 6956, 32-bit. Dell M1330, T7250, 4GB ram. No services stopped (no Antivirus though). Only issues.....BSOD from nVidia driver (both Prerelease WDDM driver and latest Vista 32-bit driver) about every third or fourth boot. Synaptics mouse pointer locks up about every other boot.

Even as a pre-beta, this is running better than a bare-bones, tweaked-out XP Pro x64!

I have to agree - I just installed XP x64 on my main HD, and will be installing Vista and then W7 after - XP 64 has major issues, in that IE is relatively unstable and I am experiencing random lockups that I never had in Vista nor W7....

OK, I abandoned my idea of 3 OSs and went with W7 only

And disabling SuperFetch seems to do the trick for me....

    Sorry this took so long.

That was a fresh install. Only thing I did was change the shutdown WaitToKillServiceTimeout.

Just wanted to see what the overhead of the video gui was (build 6956).

Two seconds. Not enough for me to worry about, just curious.

7000 Vanilla Install. Seems to be on par with my Vistax64, 6801 and 6956
