File Explorer (Index?) Hangs on Large Files
I recently downloaded a copy of an MSSQL 64bit Installer, the file size was about 1.6gig. I had placed the file at the top level of my documents folder, which is included in my documents library. After that point, every time I tried to open my documents my system would hang for 3-5 minutes totally unresponsive. I managed to delete the file this morning, and the hangs have stopped. The system is quick and responsive again. My co-worker has a similar system hang when opening his ISO folder.
Does anyone know if this is a file explorer, anti-virus (I have F-Prot) installed, or search indexing issue? Has anyone else found a way to keep larger files without hanging?
