WEI can't run on my MBP Win 7 ultimate N

Hello,

I just installed one Win7 ultimate N 64bit on my MacBook Pro via bootcamp. Eveything is recognised and all the drivers are up to date. But I cannot use Aero on it. WEI could not be computed on this computer. But previously, I did install Vista Home premium 64 bit on it and it and with Vista, the score was high and aero was running.

How can I bypass this test in order to have Aero running on it?

Thanks and Regards,

Régis

Hi there,

Not sure but perhaps you need to update Boot Camp? The latest version (BC 3.1 for x64 Windows) was released Jan 19,2010: Boot Camp Software Update 3.1 for Windows 64 bit

Finally, I found the problem: This is one N version (Europe version). This doesn't have the Windows Media Player.

I did download the patch from MS and install it. Reboot the computer and everything works fine. Great.

Download details: Media Feature Pack
