Yes you do have to pay for it but there is a 30 day trial I think as well, but maybe I should have read the first post better although it would be better if it was stated in the thread title as well. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Brew OS Windows 7 Ultimate Vista Ultimate x64 CPU Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16Ghz @ 3.8Ghz Motherboard eVGA 750i FTW Memory 2x2Gigs Patriot PC2-6400 LL Graphics Card Inno3D GeForce GTX260 216 SP Monitor(s) Displays ASUS VW222U 22" 2ms Response time Screen Resolution 1680x1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard Mouse Logitech G9 Gaming Mouse PSU HYTEC 600W & Thermaltake 650W Toughpower Power Exp Case Thermaltake Armor LCS (Liquid Cooling System) Cooling Liquid Cooling System Hard Drives SATA 150GB

And I would hardly call DLA a 'performance' tool - if you visit Comparison of download managers - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia you'll find a nice list of free, non-ad-ware DLMs that works correctly.
A lot of folks are showing preference for Orbit, but it is missing one *sorely* needed feature - when you DL something and it already exists, you can either re-write or rename - and I prefer being able to make the choice on the fly - so I prefer to use Free Download Manager myself. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number The Beast Model V OS Windows 7 Enterprise x64 SP1 | Windows 8 build 7989 CPU Core i7 965 EE @3.6 GHz Motherboard eVGA x58 Classified3 Memory 3 * 4GB Mushkin Enh Redline CL7 DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3-12800) Graphics Card eVGA 560 Ti 448 Core Calssified + eVGA GTX260 SSC (PhysX) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio (onboard) Monitor(s) Displays 2 * Acer X213Wbd Screen Resolution 2 * 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Keyboard Mouse Logitech MX Revolution '06 PSU ThermalTake BlackWidow TX TR2 850 W Case ThermalTake Level 10 GT (Black) Cooling Corsair H100 CPU | 2 * TT 140mm TriLED | 2 * Antec TriCool Hard Drives 1 * Intel X-25M G2 80 GB SSD Sata II |
