Welcome to the forum

I, use the balanced plan. There is not that much of a difference, in my opinion. If you want to speed up your computer, we can give good recommendations.

But, don't go by my opinion, give each power plan a try yourself. If you still cannot decide, pose a specific question and you will have the cooperation of every member.

Wish you the best.

I normally use my laptop plugged in and barely use it with the battery only, so I have it in high performance.

High Performance here, Balanced makes 7 automatically throttle CPU speed if necessary and boosting it again if necessary.

Since it's a Desktop, I recommend High Performance. No battery, no drain...all gain.
