I encountering the following problem when close lid on my laptop. Is this a common problem for Win7? Anyone meet the same problem?

Here are my steps:
1. Change power plan settings as below (balanced).
1.
Turn off the display after 1 mins.
2. Set Close lid as Do nothing.

2. Close laptop;
3. Wait for 2 minutes.
4. Move mouse;
5. Open laptop;
6. System shows black screen, system still alive!!!!!
Here is the key points of my observation: If don’t move mouse before opening laptop, no issue observed.

Welcome!

Actually, that is not a bug. Regardless of your power settings, most (if not all) laptops will turn off the screen when the lid is shut.

Now what happens if you don't move the mouse?

If I don't move mouse before opening lid, when I open the lid, the screen will show normally.

While the problem is that if I follow these steps as I mentioned (which is move mouse before opening lid), after open lid, the screen will show nothing, system is still running. No matter I close/open lid again and again or move mouse, the screen is black. What I can do is reboot. :(

Does it also happen on your laptop?

Thanks!

Not a bug of Windows but of the hardware and drivers.
