    Mouse freeze after clipboard action

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (I hate when people write that...). When I copy (Ctrl+c), paste (Ctrl+v), or cut (Ctrl+x) anything (not just text), my mouse freezes for about 1 second. It does not happen when I do these actions from the menu (edit > copy). I am on an Acer laptop using the touchpad so maybe it has something to do with that, but if it may somehow be Windows 7 related, then please give me some advice. It drives me nuts because I'm always copy pasting.

EDIT: I just found out that it also happens when I do Ctrl+s, Ctrl+f...

Might be something as simple as a mouse driver or as complex as a BIOS upgrade.

Can you look in event viewer (type eventvwr in search) to to the windows logs>application tab and look for app hang, app crash, or anything mouse related. Are there any critical errors there (they have red in the left hand column). If so let us know the event ID and source codes

    thanks

There are a couple critical errors (Source is SideBySide), but there are no new events when I try a Ctrl+c (even after a refresh)...
