computer slowly slowing down (and shutdown hangs)

    no. i dont think its a driver issue. i cant reproduce the crash because i cant create the conditions to cause the crash from safemode because i cant run 3d apps. and other than crashing in nero once it hasnt done it in any other instance. i think its a memory issue, but id rather be sure before i buy new ram. thanks a ton for the help by the way.

    running pretty much anything but a stress or stability test that stresses the whole system. if you go to the thread i linked on page 1 theres a ton of info i have.

    i think its a memory issue, but id rather be sure before i buy new ram.
    Have you run memtest?

    yes for hours. comes back all good. but ive seen memtests report good ram then replace the ram and problem gone before.
