Windows 7 Message Slow Performance When Exiting Dirt 2

    Hi

I have just built a new system with the following parts I and I keep getting a message saying your system performance is slow and there could not be enough resources to run the Aero background. This only seems to be happening when I exit Dirt 2

    Specs:

    MSI 790FX - GD70 motherboard,

    AMD 965 3.40ghz C3 CPU

    Gkill 4gb 1600mhz DDR3 ram

    Samsung 400gb hdd

    Corsair PSU 620w

    ATI 5850 GFX Card.

Should I be concerned at all? the memory of the system is at 27% idle

One other problem I'm having is when I run Dirt 2 and the videos appear for intel and amd when I click to move on it stays there and flickers for a second or 2. I have now removed the intro videos and now dirt 2 wont load and just stays at the screen below flickering.

I am using all the latest drivers for motherboard sound , graphics card, BIOS.

Could this be an ATI Driver issue?

Please can you let me know

    Thanks

From a complete Rookies perspective maybe Dirt 2 is using a lot of RAM, and therefore you don't have the right amount for Aero to work?

    Hi

    Thanks for your reply.

After looking on the internet some more I find a few other people where having the same issue. Any ideas about the flicking at the intro of dirt 2?

    thanks

Flash the BIOS. You didn't buy a $30 PSU did you?

PSU is OK - check for heat with HWInfo32 and run chkdsk/memtest86+.

you could always disable Aero while you play dirt 2, then enable it after you finish playing it

also a good test to see if you still get the msg.

also how old is the Corsair 620? i see you used it on the last build you had. should be fine though as i use HX520 with my i7.

    Hi

The PSU is 2 years old has been very good never had any problems with it. I'll test it with Aero disbaled and then see what happens. With regards to the flickering when the intro videos come up so far this only seems to happen in Dirt 2.

    HI

    Thanks for your reply.

The thread about the flickering problem is for Dirt 1? They said they fixed it with updated drivers so I guess that I need to wait for new drivers for the Graphics card to come out?

Also on another issue I have just installed Tomb Raider Anniversary and only lara's face and guns are showing at the main screen of the game?
