    what's wrong with my SSD

    hi there
I got Patriot Warp PE64GS25SSDR 2.5" 64GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive a while ago
I installed windows 7 on it , my computer spec :
    pentum D 3.2GHz
MB: Intel(R) 975X Express Chipset (Asus)
    Ram 4 GB (2 x 1 GB corsair , 1 x 2 GB Kingstone)
    Video Card nVedia 1GB DDRAM2
    My computer is so slow
I changed the controller on the BIOS to AHCI , then reformated my computer again , installed win 7 and still to slow

also my computer is not loading windows 7 animation at the startup on the SSD ; (loads on HDD)
the restart time average is more than 100 Seconds

I reformated my computer again today
this is HD Tune score after the format

is this score acceptable on SSD? also it is not stable at all
is there any way to make it faser or I should buy a new INTEL X25 2G

Your graph looks nothing like most SSD drives...which maintain the speed across the entire drive.

You are likely going to be hitting a ceiling at SATA 150 speeds...as you have an older mobo.

Was this drive ever fast for you, or stable?

LOL - a SSD with an extinct CPU. Its your motherboard - it cannot provide enough bandwith.

It's ok for me to replace the mother board but is it true that my mother board does not support my SSD Drive?? (or cant provide enough bandwidth )

I think my MB is not that bad
Intel 975X Express Chipset - Overview
take a look at the link to see how bad is it :)
    also I'm installing Intel® Pentium® D Processor 940 3.2GHz

All I need now is confirmation that all this is from my MB and I will build a new computer

While I'm not going to be as blunt as Frostmourne...I do tend to agree that it's likely the other components in your system..most notably the mobo and then the CPU dragging your SSD into the crapper. I would hesitate to purchase another SSD unless you could find a test box to place your current SSD into to prove whether it can be fast or not.

This is based on the assumption you don't play games:

    CPU: AMD Athlon x4 630

    RAM: 8GB DDR3 1333MHz

MOBO: AM3 socket 785G based Full ATX

    GPU: AMD 5570 or 5670

    HDD: Seagate 12th generation 1TB

    ODD: LG GH 22 series

PSU: (Never skip this step) Antec True Power 550

    CASE: Your choice

that is a nice build, it would help if you are going to go the New Build Route a price Min/Max
what you want it for, Games, movies,Encoding ect.

alos i would go with intel for the extra $£ but it can be as low or high as you want.

as said a high quality PSU is nothing you want to cheap out on.

really like these forums, there is lots of people here to help :)
