System Rating Slower with RAID-0
Greetings from New Zealand,
I recently purchased a second WD Raptor 74GB ADFD hard drive to use in a RAID-0 configuration, using the Intel ICH10R chipset. When installing Windows 7 on the single Raptor Windows Performance Index gave the Hard Disk a rating of 5.9. With the RAID-0 setup, Windows Performance Index gives the Hard Drive a rating of only 5.6. I have the latest Intel drivers installed, and have Write Back Cache enabled.
Am I doing something wrong? I should also point out the Intel recently released new drivers and a program that replaces the Matrix Storage Manager called Rapid Storage Technology, which I installed.
I sincerely appreciate any assistance anyone can provide.
