    cannot defragment my disk please help


    when i tried to defragment my disk on Windows 7 it says

    (disk defragmenter cannot start because the task scheduler service is not running)

    when tried to run Task Scheduler, it says ( The remote computer was not found )

    Use defraggler, it's an alternative to the built-in defragmenter:

    Run CMD as admin and type the following at the prompt:

    sfc /scannow

    Hit enter.

    Reboot, then try running defrag again.

Disk defragment not responding in safe mode

Hello, when I try to run disk defrager in safe mode my mouse just does the quick loading animation then stops and nothing happens, the window doesn't pop up, doesn't appear in task manager or anything. Everything else in safe mode seems to work fine except that. Any ideas?

Lately, my C Drive has not been showing up in the disk defragmenter. It shows my default backup disk (D:) on my dell studio 17. I havent really made any changes that might have possibly removed it. I downloaded a disk defragmenter and it shows up on there. Just wondering how i can get it back
