I am guilty of arguing too, perhaps a little too aggressively at times - but to make a technical point, not a personal attack in the manner that was done.

He knew stuff.

With 1200 posts in 1 month, he must have. But I am afraid his knowledge about the PF is outdated. Windows 3.1?

I often complain that keeping up with the rapid advances in computer technologies is harder than keeping up with advances in medicine.

Windows 7 is not XP, or 3.1.

He had been here long enough to know we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to being abusive to others.

Thank you, John and Shawn, for the appropriate action. I agree with Wolfgang that Common Tater knows his stuff and he has helped a good many posters. I can live with his ridiculous and poor taste analogy; but, even though I have not read his PM, there is no reason to attack another member who was accurate and knowledgeable in his post. There is no excuse for personal attacks, period.
