AMD Phenom II X6 1090T and 1055T Benchmarks

These seem to be just released so not expecting many results yet but im intrested to know how they compare to intel. And would they be worth getting? The cheaper one here is £160, and the 1090 is £250.
But i cant seem to find any decent bechmark results at the momment, any would be appreciated because im intrested in upgrading to this on my current motherboard.
    Thanks.

I read AnandTech's review and thought it was a decent review with decent benchmarks AMD's Six-Core Phenom II X6 1090T & 1055T Reviewed - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

More or less, it seems that if you run video encoding style apps which really take advantage of multi core..you will see an improvement. However, for gaming and such it seems that the dual core machines can be faster than these new 6 core boxes. So, I guess it really will come down to what you need/want to accomplish with your machine.

well i have been thinking about it and i dont think im ever going to use all 6 cores, i think im going to stick with my original choice of the AMD phenom 945 95w, since this would be the better option for me as i do some gaming. the 95w version as its cooler.

Authoring blu-ray's, converting HD content, hmmmmm maybe it's worth the upgrade for me.

well decided to get the 945 am3 over the six cores since i cant see why i would need 6 cores myself, and i don't know what they would be like on my mohterboard.

But im more then happy with the 945, going from a 2.3ghz triple core to a 3.0ghz quad, also got the 95w version so alot cooler, idle temps of 31c and full load of 43c. Even when being on for a while.

@f1fan I myself considered the hexcore but really for what there is no real big up performance from the 965 blk which they claim is still faster then the 1090T 3.2 and alot of reviews were saying most of the games can't even take advantage of it not to say next years wont but right now it doesnt seem to be all that impressive yet

im able to run it but i still have faith in my 925 phenom II X4 2.8 OC'ed to 3.22 im getting about the same performance as i would out of a blk edition but yet it is a smaller cpu

i figure in the near future i will up the cpu but only when the price comes down 300.00 for that cpu is too much right now given that it is the latest technology vs intel which is a astounding 1000 dollar chip i mean does blowing all this cash really make your system that much better i see less systems doing laps around fresh built rigs

so to me right now that jump is not worth it till the chip has been out atleast 6 + months to get valid reviews and results just my opinion
