    Superfetch


    Is there a way to make superfetch only "fetch" applications and not the entire movie I watched the other day?

    I reccomend you keep superfetch on your computer fully as it doesnt slow your computer down, it helps it.

    well I don't see how loading an entire movie into ram helps my computer I mean it is like 1.2 gigs of movie that I only watched once... would rather have the gimp, open office, and firefox instead. Why can't I choose what my computer "fetches"?

    What makes you believe that movie is forever stored in your RAM?
    Or that SuperFetch is even fetching this movie?

My Windows 7 keeps switching from Aero theme to the regular theme. Every time it switches from Aero to regular, it says Superfetch stopped working. Any clues what could be bothering Superfetch? D:

Have they changed its code in some fundamental way? I always used to have to disable it eventually on vista as it was very greedy with ram, quite frequently leaving me with very little head room. But, on W7 it seems incredibly well behaved. It's almost as if is not enabled.
