Not sure a 6 core CPU is going to give you what you want.

    I am @ 7.3
An AMD Phenom II X6 1100T would give him 7.5 @ stock clocks, I'm sure it will run at 4.0GHz With a good cooling system (The MAX temp is a lot lower than other CPU's on the market) but not sure what WEI it would score then.

Just upgraded to an SSD, now the lowest point is the cpu, but still a fine enough system for me.
Don't you just hate it when your CPU is the thorn in your side - Show Us Your WEI (2)

    Nice scores BTW :)
haha yep that what i thought. But its nice to know that anything else i upgrade, the hard drive will not be the bottleneck like it's been for mnay years.

No not Just for the WEI I love having a machine that will do anything I need it to do HD video needs a very good machine. I just enjoy the WEI as a guide to performance the upgrades for me are often not too expensive as I get reward points on my purchases for work (lucky for My kids)no one suffers for my hoby and in the pased I have certainly had worse ones

SSD Tweaks and Optimizations in Windows 7

Keep in mind that i personally didnt notice a difference, but it did boost my WEI score from 7.4 to 7.7 on the disk portion. This gives some performance tips and tips for reducing unnecessary writes.
