That's an amazing system you have there!

    Paul.
If memory serves me correctly, you, me and A Guy build almost identical rigs... now we're just waiting on A Guy to go Sandy Bridge and harmony will be restored.
Lol, my PC is just over 1 year old. Harmony is a long way off There may be a SSD in my future, but by the time I need a new PC, there will be a whole new platform, yet unimagined, lol. A Guy

But sometimes it's just fun to build another one.

My next upgrade for my system includes HAFX Case H70 Corsair Water Cooling a Crosshair IV Extreme 16GB DDR3 1600MHz A 320GB OCZVertex and an ATI 6990 these cost around £1200, it's probably more cost effecti to consider this build complete and use these new components as a completely new build and have two monster PC's. Truth is though I already run 2 Desktops and 3 laptops it would mean retiring this PC to a secondary and ditching my Dual Core completely.

I had a similar situation. I have a Dell sitting in the closet now. It is sort of like a backup. Guess I should try to sell it.

Funnily enough the desktop I would have to retire is a DELL, thing just keeps running though, had it over 6 years and it never breaks, a good reliable secondary, It will be a sad day when I say goodbye to that.

I got lucky. We just bought a house, and have been spent the better part of the last 7 months renovating, etc etc... which explains my absence from the forums. My i5-750 is upstairs, the man-cave was incomplete. One day the wife was watching TV and I was roaming around the internet listening to music. Apparently this irked the crap out of her... and after she shot me those, "turn that crap down eyes", she said, and this I'll remember for the rest of my days, "I think you need a computer downstairs for when you want to get loud".

Well... I don't think I have to tell anyone here that I was at newegg even before she finished the sentence. Thus, the new rig. We would have had this conversation sooner, but that whole P67 fiasco got in my way... which turned out to be in my favor as the Vertex 3's finally made it to market.

Good numbers Guess the 10,000RPM gets you a .3 increase over the usual 5.9 for a spinner. A Guy

Good scores, and very good for the spinner.
