    Thanks Barefoot.

    Your a REAL pal.

    Mike

Actually by the time I get the cash together I'm hoping they will have the 3rd generation out.
Get the Crucial SATA6's working a tad better or a Vertex3.
    I'm going by Anandtech reviews.
    Not my SSD knowledge.
What's wrong with the way the Crucial SATA III's work? Mine is absolutely brilliant.
    Nothing in particular.
Maybe to get the 128GB to run like the 256GB for about $200.

The SSD Diaries: Crucial's RealSSD C300 - AnandTech :: Your Source for Hardware Analysis and News

Yours is great. I'm not saying the performance is bad.
I was going by the above article. By the time I get the money the Vertex3 may be out or they may have a new or updated internal controller for the Crucial.
Which would make the Crucial 128GB even better.

Mainly I'd like to see the price on the 128GB like yours drop to about $190-200.
    That would be very nice.

There's nothing wrong with the controller. Did you read the whole article? I've had mine for over 3 months now and have seen no performance degradation what-so-ever (I update my benchmark results regularly in the SSD thread here). Price might be a concern for some at the moment but new tech is always more expensive. Like everything, the price will drop eventually. This drive performs so well that I can't see myself needing to upgrade it for quite some time (and I really love to upgrade )

    I don't think the 980x can hit 7.9 even at 5ghz+

I think you right on that, maybe the 7.9 is for the up comming 8 cores guess time will tell, and if this true then you already hit max WEI in Win 7
