Welcome to Seven Forums overfiend1976. Great numbers, you must be happy with it. A Guy

Thanks much. Indeed I am. It's been a while since I've built a PC, and I was quite happy with the results. Ran through 5 different GPU's in about a month till I found one I liked. About to give this one away soon. (Depending on a few factors). Actually, depending on one. If I want to wait for the new lineups of CPU's next year from both Intel and AMD, or if I'd rather just obtain a nifty little i7 980x build now because I'm impatient....

Nothing will give you an amazing speed increase like a SSD.

Not as impressive or even near your PC's but works fine for me

    Oh, BTW... i'm changing that 8400GS, but still not decided... (based on my budget) i'm between a EVGA GT-240 GDDR5 (512MB) or a Sapphire HD5570 GDDR5 (1GB)

I have a Sapphire HD 5770 1GB DDR5 and that scores 7.4, Don't know if that's any use to you. Maybe help you estimate where you would like to score. But spinning HDD will stick you to 5.9. You need a SSD to reach beyond that.

When I overclocked the processor to 3.80 GHz, it reads as 5.00 GHz. I hope Microsoft fixes this soon, because it causes Steam and VirtualMark to show it, too.

    I have a 1 gig DDR5 GT240, and it gets a 6.8.

    7.7 for me

    I have....

    7.7 core i7 920 4.0Ghz (idle 33 and load 67-68 water cooled)
    7.9 12gig Dominator gt 2000mhz (running 1600mhz cas5 timings)
    7.8 5970 black edition
    7.8 Gaming Graphics (as above)
    7.9 2 x intel x25-E SSD's 64gig each in raid 0

    overall 7.7

Thinking of getting the i7 980x 6 core and another 5970 black edition to try make that
    perfect score.
    Any idea's ?

I think that would do the trick, great scores none the less.

The 5570 paired with GDDR5 is a powerful combination. I would personally go with that, between the two.
