My WEI has gone down from a 4.9 to a 4.3 now it is down to a 4.2 my system said it found new hardware to run my assessment again. When it did it went from 4.3 to 4.2. The first time I ever ran it. It went up. Now I installed this new hard ware the audio and video drivers. And it went down. Well my desktop performance for windows aero went down. But that might be because I put all my settings down in my video setting right. That would mean that aero is not really even running at all.
Do you hve any transparency? preview in the task bar, snap in when you drag a window near top or sides? if you have turned all these off then aero could still be running just not showing it's features.
Sorry to hear your scores have dropped, if you have installed new video drivers they should be from ATI website, I know you have Windows 7 x64 so be sure drivers are correct. If Windows installed drivers then you may no get the ful power of your graphics card. Right click on the desktop to see if ATI Catalyst is still working. Also if ATI CCC is running, have a lok under the3D settings to see if defaults have been restored, Then turn everything back to "Performance".

Big improvement since putting in a GTX 580
Great Scores there, Nice to see that £400 gets full marks. I'd expect no less from a GTX 580.

Yes they do still snap in. Also I did go and install the ATI update from the website. But I did kind of have a hard time figuring out witch update to use. Go look at the thread. My posts will be in the last page. Maybe the one before the last. But I am right at the end. Look and let me know on that thread If you think I might have installed the wrong one. Though it seems to be working fine. And all my settings are still at the performance level.

This is the web site link ATI Radeon
If you are just using 1 graphics card then its the top download which is the full package, be sure that there ar no errors on install. Some would even say to uninstall all previous versions of the ATI software and do a fresh install.

Here's my score as of 11-13-2010.
WEI is reporting DirectX 10 but I'm running 11- I read somewhere that was a bug in WEI...

It's funny- I've tried OC'ing the CPU; got it up to 3.00 Ghz; it didn't make any difference at all in the WEI score (so I just set it back to stock).
    Now, why would that be?
