Next one out is the video card. Haven't decided on what is coming in.
Just noticed the ammount of graphics memory, you have 1 ATI 5700 series and available graphics memory is 4859mb 1024mb being from the graphics card and 3835mb shared with the system. You have 8GB of RAM.
I have 2 X 1024mb ATI 5770 Crossfired Graphics memory 2048mb, 2803mb shared with system so total of 4851mb. I also have 8GB of RAM.
I am just wondering how is the shared RAM allocated? Also is there any way to calibrate it manually? I don't think my system is using it all, and the extra memory being available for graphics would be a real plus.

Your setup is similar to mine, you could go with a GTX 570 or if you are on a budget go with a GTX 560 Ti. I got the EVGA GTX 460 1GB SC EE a month ago and I'm about to trade it in throught the step-up program to either the GTX 560 Ti FPB or GTX 570. I would only pay $66.00 for the GTX 560 Ti and $166.00 for the GTX 570. Here's my wei score:

I am waiting till they release Crysis 2 - at least the multiplayer demo - before deciding on a new video card to get. The last thing I need is spending money on a new card and finding out that it cannot play Crysis 2 maxed out. Tbh, the HD5770 is adequate for the games that I play. I can run them with max details at 1080p, some with 4x AA as well.

If I have to upgrade, I am looking to buy at least an HD6950 though.

Windows Experience Index - Update or Refresh Score

Here's mine with the new XFX 5870 and a new/clean install on the Intel X25-M G2, it's a shame the Q9550 and 8GB Dominator C5D are the low number, maybe one of these days I'll OC some. The temps came down from 78c with the XFX 4870 to 51c with this new card, which in turn brought down the system temps at least 8 degrees c. What I've found is after the first install on an SSD (at least this one) you'll never get as good a WEI again, so you better enjoy the first one.

All of you folks who harbored envy at Bare Foot Kid's super Sunday figures, can feel happy with my WEI!:) It's some where near my ankles and the reason is apparent in the pics. i've posted below!

In fact i too am not very happy with the screen resolution and my Graphic card Nvidia 8400GS, is to be found only in the archives of Nvidia site! They have released updated drivers! I' ll try them first and friends in the Graphics forum have categorically informed me to shift from a screen with 5000:1 resolution to something like 500000:1 monitor screen!

    Sreedhav

    Dear Anusha,
Quote " Tbh, the HD5770 is adequate for the games that I play." Unquote.

Kindly elaborate on the letters "Tbh"? I thougt it was "The Badshah's Harem"! Googling revealed it to be "To Be Honest"! Sorry for hurting your eyes with the PR (Pungent Red)!LOL.

What is the screen resolution of your monitor?

    Regards,
