New score with new upgrades to PC (SSD, new CPU/mobo). Not overclocked the i7 yet, will do it sometime soon and push the CPU score higher.
Nice upgrades, always great fun changing the componets.
How does the new system feel compared to the old one?
Feels great. I know it's one of the old i7s, but I got it for a nice price off a mate, so thought I'd save myself a bit of money. The SSD makes the world of difference, which I'm sure you've seen with your SSD. Just a shame I can't put everything on it
Boosted processor score to 7.7 by changing default mobo memory speed from 1333 Mhz to 1600 Mhz (what my memory speed is rated for)
Looks good, is it time to OC that CPU?
I'll bet you can easily get a 7.8 out of it

Sounds like a good deal.
SSDs are great, will be nice when they're cheaper than HDDs
