I can't see it! I was always at 7.3 and now it says that a new hardware is installed and I need to re run the thingy, and when I do, and it finish, nothing comes up and I have to run it again! And again and again and nothing happens :s Help!
I had that as well a while back, it's a stupidly irritating issue.. Open "C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore\" and delete all the xml files. Those are the files that store the scores from every WEI test done, sometimes the folder gets too full and causes issues with running the WEI.
    YAY It worked Thanks man

I think I read that wrong dave did you mean 3 gigabyte/sec for a single drive? Not only is that not going to happen in the next several months that's likely a couple years away. Intel refresh is coming in the next few months and that's just an increase of capacity for g2 drives. Gen3 isn't until next year and those drives are likely 500+mb/sec read/write if we're lucky. Not only is 3GB/s only remotely possible via raid it's relegated to uber raid, somewhere around 12-16 drives.
It was really late last night/this morning when I wrote that.

You didn't read it wrong, I wrote it wrong.

Meant to say past the 300 MB/s mark.
Which I hope will become more common by end of summer and the price relaxed by the end of the year.

Have you seen anything on the Intel Gen3? Haven't came across any info or speculation.

    ZaLiTH,

Nice info on the WEI failure, good work :)

5870 is either 7.7 or 7.8 depending on the latest catalyst. Flips back and forth with each new version.

Also, since it's right on the bubble the smallest overclock will give 7.8.

Those figure are for "straight out of the box", as I only finished building it last night, sorry this morning.

Congrats, that's a very nice rig

Great numbers, out of the box or not.

After you get everything running smoothly, you can get info and help with the fine tuning, if you desire :)

Check the RAM speed in your BIOS, MOBO default may have you running a bit under the manufacturers designed rate.

I actually just did that, it's 9-9-9-24, but, I couldn't find where to adjust the volts.
