How can I make my computer go to sleep after 2 minutes?

I'm running windows 7 and I want to make it go to sleep when it's at the login screen and no one touches the computer for 2 minutes.

Go to power options, change plan settings, advanced settings. From there, go to sleep and type in 2 for how long you want.

I see what you are saying.

So you don't have it set to log out after a period of time (screensaver), but want it to sleep after you are logged out, but NOT if you are logged in?
Let me look around.

Yes, I want it to go to sleep when it's at the login screen. When it's like this:

So no one knows?

Personally, I do not think it is possible, but I will bring in some more help.

It cant. The power plan settings are per user, and so cant load till after you log on. IE if there were 2 users and one wanted 2 mins like you and one wanted 5, it couldnt do it. so after you log in it knows which is which

I understand that.

It is an easy thing to set up the computer to sleep at a certain interval. However, the OS is not set up to go to sleep after it has gone into lock.

You can try setting the computer to go to sleep 2 minutes after it goes to screen saver with log in required?

or if not having to touch it after the systems been booted you could set one user as default login and set sleep under that users settings

Hmm ok ickymay thanks for the idea it will probably be the permanent solution because I don't see anyone coming with other solutions but now I have to be prepared for my stuff to be messed up with... if I remove my password.

not to offend you but what your trying to do sounds stupid. why 2 minutes? why so soon. if u know u are gonna be away from the pc why not just manually set it to go to sleep.

Ok... I'll try to explain. I also run OS X on my PC and my sister has all her stuff in OS X and that's fine, she just reboots into OS X when she needs anything and then I go to windows most of the time. The problem is when the computer is shut down from OS X wake on lan doesn't work. Wake on lan works perfectly and it's 100% reliable when my computer was shut down from windows or put to sleep from windows. So I was thinking when my sister stops using the computer, instead of having her always have to wait until the computer boots into windows and putting it to sleep I would just tell her to never shut down the computer, instead just restart it (goes to windows if you don't touch it) and then have the computer go to sleep by itself shortly so it is always available for me to use with wake on lan when I'm not home.

But I'll probably just have her switch completely to windows and take out OS X out of the equation and solve the problem like this.
