Windows 7: Setting the virtual memory

Setting the virtual memory

hi all
can i have advice on setting the virtual memory? my ram is 6 GB: windows 7- 64 bit 1TB hard drive (split in: 500 GB C operating system, & 500 GB D, data)
ive had lots of advice from my books and windows site but still confused what's best for my machine

The very best is if you leave it alone and let the system manage it. Any intervention can only make it worse.

u can make it a little bit higher it will help a bit, but its not much a performance gain compared to real ram, if u wanna increase it do so by a little and dont go crazy. ive seen ppl go nuts and make it alot, if u put to much u might see a negative result

This man has 6GBs of RAM. I doubt that his page file gets a lot of use.

Just leave Windows to manage it on it's own I have 6GB Ram and I hardly ever use it at all.

Ditto, leave it alone and ignore anything you hear about disabling it or manipulating it. you have plenty of RAM and 7 manages it very well.
