Microsoft Security Essentials creating thousands of .TMP files.

Thousands of 305KB .TMP files are being created by MsMpEng.exe.

They do not remove on reboot, and stop being created if I disable live scanning in MSE.

They can take up 50-60GB of space until I manually delete, but thousands and thousands more are made every second!

This greatly slows down disk performance.

Try un-installing MSE. then re-install to see if it is fixed
