Dude that depends on your wallet. It's easy for us to say yes, replace everything, we're not paying for it.

But to answer the question...I'm not an AMD user. My point... I can't say if that processor is "good" enough or not.

However it's all about the funds.

Until you do what's been asked, we have no way of knowing what's causing your system to be slow. It could be many things, or one or two simple things? However, we can't say until we know exactly what we're dealing with, and as sygnus pointed out, slow is a relative term.

Alright and sorry for this, but every thing has been really mixed up and you both have been confusing what have I been "asked"?

To summarize the bottom line...

1- List problem games
2- Replace the video card like you said you would
3- Run some benchmark tests as suggested and post results.

Alright, when I game I use a program called "Gamebooster" And with my processor and RAM I don't think having a few programs open is going to effect the speed of the game, I've rendered a video and still run games fine.

Now as to gaming, I'd like to be able to play anything right? I mean if a game comes out in 3 months I want to be able to play it, but specifically. Call of Duty, Diablo 3 when it comes out, The game I mentioned before, Combat Arms, my 4650 can run this game easy so there's no biggie on that. But I mean say the new CoD comes out in November, I want to be able to play that 100+ fps.

100 fps is meaningless. Your monitor can only display 60. I realize the more fps the better the experience, for a variety of reasons, but instead of focusing on maximum fps, which is again meaningless, instead focus on minimum fps, which is what really makes or breaks the gaming experience. When everything is flying along at 80 fps things are great, it's when fps dips down to the 30's that things begin to suck.

Nobody can say with any certainty what the requirements of Black Ops will be; however, if history is a good indicator, and it usually is, then pretty much any decent modern mid-range to high end card will do. Again, the question is whether you want DX11 or not? There are a lot of good cards out. Pick one. Come back after you've read some reviews and I'm sure there will be no shortage of opinions for you to choose from.

So, to end up, stop running applications when you're gaming; optimize your rig with the guides provided; get a decent graphics card.

I think I'm going to buy the 5770. But with that being said, this is my PSU and I have been told I'm going to need a new one.

^^ I'm not really sure what you're telling me to do here.

I think we're chasing ghosts here. CPU-Z isn't really going to tell us much of anything other than RAM and processor speed. Again, he needs to run some other benchmarking tools to see how the system is performing.

And for what its worth, I game without closing down anything. I've also got Windows pretty much running at default settings and things run fine for me. The only thing I used to close down when gaming was my AV (Kaspersky, Norton), but since moving to Microsoft Security Essentials, I don't don't even close that down now.

My two cents.

PS... If you're really really concerned about your gaming experience, than you might want to look at a new system. Seeing how you're concerned about various components of your system. Seeing that you have a 300 watt power supply and the rest of your system, "slow" may be appropiate for the system. Sorry. I'm not one to tell anyone to upgrade, but I mention it here because you did.
