    Restoring files on another computer

I had a problem on my computer where I could not boot windows. After I turned the computer off and back on, it gave me the option to run the launch repair tool, which I did. Somehow I got into Recovery, which gave me an option of backing up my files (pictures, music, mail, etc.) which I did. It created 7 DVD's of backed up data. After I did that, I did a system restore, which didn't fix the problem, but that's another story.

I'm trying to restore the backed up files on another Windows 7 computer. Backup & Restore says that it can't find a backup point (which is true as I didn't do the backup on that computer). The DVD's contain .WIM files.

How do I restore these files to my new computer?

    Thanks for the help.

    Welcome to the forums, DNewell
You can mount the WIM file and then you will be able to access the contents: WIM File - Extract and Modify
