    Reliability Monitor on the fritz

Problem: the Reliability monitor is blank. There once were, but no longer is any graphic on the top screen, or source reports on the bottom (there once were).

    Steps Taken so Far:
-I've cleared the RAC published and State data, Reliability history, and problem reports.

    Observations:
-In Services, it shows that "Problem Reports and Solutions..." is started and on automatic.
-In Services, it shows that "Performance Logs and Alerts" is started and on manual.
-The Event Viewer is recording errors and warnings.
-The RAC published and State data files are not being remade (the folders remain empty).
-The Task Scheduler has nothing in the RAC folder.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking that their is a Task that is missing, but how would I fix that?

    Welcome

If it just started a quick system restore will work. I have doubts that the normal SFC advice would work in this situation

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker[2]=Performance Maintenance

    System Restore

This has been going on for over a month. I've googled it a few times but there isn't a lot of info out there. Vista troubleshooting says to start the RacAgent.exe but it's not available with Windows7.

    Reliability Monitor Answer

My Rac task in Task Scheduler was gone. Using System Restore I found an old copy. After clearing out problem history and event logs, nothing improved. Task Scheduler was returning errors (0) so I eliminated just the tasks (saved a copy) causing errors. Now the Scheduler worked but not the Reliability Monitor. I took the old RacTask file and changed the suffix to xml since I believe that the new Task Scheduler requires xml files. Now, it works! But the Event Viewer doesn't like to load. Next problem.
