    Print Spooler issue- Don't let me install a printer


    I can't install my brother printer model dcp-165c because the print spooler service keeps on crashing. will somebody help me out to repair fix or reset the spooler's settings? have tried different steps found on the web but no luck

    try into safe mode. make sure that's your driver is update.

    Try disabling you firewall/Anti virus and then install it, I often have problems installing software until i turn off my firewall protection.

    sorry for late reply.Last time, i have installed it without any problems. I have searched that some updates from winUpdate might have caused spooler issues. Luckily today, I have managed to fix the "add printer" issue. But still 1 of the required drivers for my printer always fails to install. I have downloaded the right driver for the model and its corresponding os(win7). I don't want to do a fresh install for i will have to download those bunch of hotfixes again. >.<
