    Closing window/program laggy

I just installed build 7100 yesterday and i have really enjoyed it so far, but noticed one slight annoyance.

When I close a program or a window, the animation takes effect and the window begins to close, then pauses for literally a nano-second, before closing all the way. Its not much, but its noticeable enough to be an annoyance.

I've only been able to find one other post of someone complaining of the same issue, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if anyone has a fix.

Try updating your chipset and gfx drivers.

I have the same issue both with an 8800GTX and a brand new 285 graphics card. There is some kind of IO interrupt or something hitting JUST as the animation stars.

It is very slight but very noticable and one of the things that can easily ruin the sleekness of the UI.

It may be specific to the nVidia cards? They practically all have the same driver. I have other graphics weirdness with my nvidia cards with the W7 driver that I never had before though (no texture animation for example, visible in games) So the driver will hopfully get better.

Same problem here and i have an ATI 4870, it's not an nVidia's cards specific issue
I think the problem is in the instalation...

Hello! The problem is in all builds of windows 7! no matter what edition x86 or x64 they all have this minimizing/maximizing effect on windows is sluggish. I thought too at first that is a video driver problem , but no. I switched back to vista ultimate x64 just becouse this effect problem. for me is really annoing. the effect on vista is really smoth and quick.

Agreed. my x86 version was burned 16x and i decided to burn my x64 @ 2x
result, i had some issues in my O/S with x86 and my x64 works perfeclty

give it a try and send feedback
