Google Calendar - Windows 7 32 bit

I have used Google's gmail & calendar for 3 years with Windows XP Pro and Vista with no problems.

A couple of months ago I took my pc to the repair shop and along with making a repair, had Windows 7 - 32 bit installed. My system is in my profile.

I was having other problems and took it back to the shop and the tech found that one of my mirrored hard drives was starting to go. I had him replace both hard drives and he reinstalled the Windows 7 32 bit and restored all my files.

With both of the Windows 7 installations, when I am in my gmail and click on "calendar"; a new window opens and behaves as if it were having an epileptic fit.
No error messages.
The newly opened window does not recover from its "fit" and I have to close it.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I need my calendar!

Thank you

There are so many things that could be wrong we need a ton more info to be of any help. when the tech replaced the drives he didnt do a clean install obviously, did he replace the controller or driver?

Do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

On the remote chance do you have a backup from before the problem that we could restore from?

My suggestion is to download Chrome or firefox 4 beta and see if the problem persists. If it does than you know it is a windows issue. If it does not then it is an Internet Explorer issue.

Google Chrome Web Browser: Google Chrome - Get a fast new browser. For PC, Mac, and Linux

Firefox 4 Beta: Firefox web browser | Help us test the latest beta

Both are very secure and trust worthy browsers.

thank you for your reply,

I guess I did forget to state that I was initially using IE when the problem started.

And I have switched over to Mozilla's Firefox v. 3.6.6 and the problem went away. My calendar is working fine.

I am surprised at all the positive comments on Chrome. I installed it about a year ago, when I was using Windows XP Pro. It was a disaster! I cannot remember the specifics, but nothing worked well when Chrome was open.
