What maintenance do you do for windows 7 ?

    I run:
    Windows disk defrag.
Ccleaner (clears all temp files and such)
    Ccleaner reg cleaner.

You guys do run any other programs to help windows 7 stay in tip top shape ?

CCleaner, Defragmenting is always good too. As is installing and using Common Sense 2010 Beta to keep the machine infection free (if all else fails, grab some free AV).

    Suggestions for Proper Maintenance

I suggest that you do not include the procedure for registry cleaner as part of your routine.

I do maintenance every Monday morning before I start using my computer.

I run Disk Cleanup update SpywareBlaster if needed and although MalwareBytes runs in real time I do a quick scan of it as well as a scan with Microsoft Security Essentials.

Defrag is scheduled to run every Monday teatime when I'm not using the machine. I don't have things not needed running at start up and of course practise Safe Hex.

    As always,

Windows 7 Manager as it has a 1 click cleaner.
    O&O Defrag

Thats about it, oh and my full system scan (Kaspersky) is done once a week.

+1 a slightly 'dirty' registry is 10000000% better than a clean broken one.

as many others do, i clean out my temp folder every now and then, and defrag - especially before installing 'big' software.

i also do a full system scan with kaspersky before i go out, or at night, as it can take a while, especially with a big hard drive containing many thousands of files.
